SMART, GREEN AND ZERO EMISSION CAMPUS
There is solar energy power plant at 1.2MW installed power using photovoltaic technology in the field of HKU and on the roof of Faculty of Health Sciences building of Hasan Kalyoncu University producing new projects in many fields including technology production, acquisition and usage. Energy produced by power plant is primarily used in self-consumption. While status and production values of power plant may be followed instantly over internet, it is also reporter by KALITTO (Kalyoncu Innovation and Technology Transfer Office) each month. In this respect, CO2 emission up to 45.000 trees annually may be reduced. HKU maintains its studies with smart, green and zero emission university targets by such studies.
